What do you want to find?
Salary is
SAR
%
Projects your salary if you get the same increment every year.

How do you calculate a salary increment? Multiply your current salary by (1 + increment % ÷ 100). A 5% increment on SAR 12,000 a month is SAR 600, for a new salary of SAR 12,600 a month. To find the percentage, subtract old pay from new pay, divide by old pay and multiply by 100.

Salary Increment Calculator Saudi Arabia formula: increment percentage equals new salary minus old salary, divided by old salary, times 100
The formulas behind the salary increment calculator.

How to calculate a increment

Increment % = (New salary − Old salary) ÷ Old salary × 100
New salary = Old salary × (1 + Increment % ÷ 100)

Worked example

Your monthly salary is SAR 12,000 and you get a 5% increment. Multiply SAR 12,000 by 1.05: your new monthly salary is SAR 12,600, which is SAR 600 more a month.

Going the other way, a monthly salary that rises from SAR 20,000 to SAR 20,900 is a 4.5% increment: (SAR 20,900 − SAR 20,000) ÷ SAR 20,000 × 100.

How to use the salary increment calculator

  1. Choose what you want to find: your new salary from a increment percentage, or the increment percentage from your new salary.

Increment and take-home pay in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia has no personal income tax, so your take-home pay rises by close to the full increment. Social insurance or pension contributions apply to nationals and are the main deduction.

Check which part of your package the increment applies to. Many employers raise basic salary and allowances (housing, transport) separately, and a raise in basic salary also raises your end of service gratuity, which is calculated on your last wage including regular allowances. Work out the new amount with the Saudi Arabia gratuity calculator.
