What do you want to find?
Salary is
S$
%
Projects your salary if you get the same increment every year.

How do you calculate a salary increment? Multiply your current salary by (1 + increment % ÷ 100). A 4% increment on S$6,000 a month is S$240, for a new salary of S$6,240 a month. To find the percentage, subtract old pay from new pay, divide by old pay and multiply by 100.

Salary Increment Calculator Singapore formula: increment percentage equals new salary minus old salary, divided by old salary, times 100
The formulas behind the salary increment calculator.

How to calculate a increment

Increment % = (New salary − Old salary) ÷ Old salary × 100
New salary = Old salary × (1 + Increment % ÷ 100)

Worked example

Your monthly salary is S$6,000 and you get a 4% increment. Multiply S$6,000 by 1.04: your new monthly salary is S$6,240, which is S$240 more a month.

Going the other way, a monthly salary that rises from S$5,000 to S$5,250 is a 5% increment: (S$5,250 − S$5,000) ÷ S$5,000 × 100.

How to use the salary increment calculator

  1. Choose what you want to find: your new salary from a increment percentage, or the increment percentage from your new salary.
  2. Pick yearly, monthly or hourly pay. Salaries in Singapore are usually quoted monthly, so the calculator starts on Monthly.
  3. Enter your current salary and the increment percentage or your new salary.
  4. Click Calculate to see your new salary, the yearly and monthly difference and how your pay grows over several years.
