How gratuity is calculated in Qatar: divide basic monthly salary by 30 and multiply by 21 days for each year of service, pro rata for partial years. Employees need at least 1 year of service. This is the legal minimum, and contracts can offer more.

Qatar gratuity formula
Gratuity = (Basic / 30) × 21 × Years of service
Worked example
Basic salary of QAR 9,000 and 6 years of service. Daily wage is QAR 300. Gratuity: 300 × 21 × 6 = QAR 37,800.
